For many years, I carried the weight of past hurts: childhood trauma, the pain of an abusive relationship, and the heartbreaking loss of a child. Though I appeared strong, a quiet storm of self-doubt and loneliness raged within. I longed for a sense of belonging, a feeling of truly being seen and loved for who I am.
My search for peace led me to the world of holistic wellness. I became a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, specializing in plant-based living and gut health. I learned to nourish my body, but my heart still yearned for deeper healing.
Then, breathwork found me. Skeptical, yet open, I experienced a profound shift. It was as if a gentle hand had reached into the depths of my soul, releasing long-held emotions and revealing a radiant spark of hope. I knew then that this was more than just surviving; it was about truly thriving.
I immersed myself in trauma-informed breathwork, training with the remarkable Samantha Skelley of Pause Breathwork. Through this deeply transformative practice, I witnessed the incredible power of the breath to dissolve layers of pain and reveal the joy that had always been there.
At 63, I stand as a testament to the fact that healing is timeless. My journey of self-discovery blossomed into a journey of self-love, leading me to a beautiful, fulfilling relationship and marriage to my best friend shortly after my 61st birthday.
